I started Tasting Thoughts as a way to share my own journey exploring the world of coffee, tea and chocolate. I’m not too picky when it comes to what to try, as long as they are good quality small-batch coffee, loose leaf tea and artisan chocolates (bonus points if they are also ethical, sustainable and organic).
Please note that my personal tasting thoughts are just that – my own. I am not a trained taster, just an enthusiast. In other words, just like you. Everyone has a different palate and therefore, what I like or do not like may differ from your tastes. And it is ok. Just enjoy coffee, tea and chocolate the way you like it – it isn’t (or shouldn’t be!) dogmatic. Enjoyment is the key.
These tasting thoughts are simply guidelines, which you can adjust to your own tastes. It might even help you to narrow down what to try in this vast world of coffee, tea and chocolate. Try everything with an open mind. You might be surprised things might change with the passage of time, or with a different preparation method (sorry, yet to be convinced about lapsang souchong though!).
